Section 2.  Introduction

The UUFB Strategic Plan has been developed to benefit the congregation by (a) improving our effectiveness, (b) helping us to address directly some of our critical issues, (c) helping us be a wise steward of our resources and (d) making decisions based on priorities. This Plan is a working document that will be monitored and reviewed on a yearly basis to check progress and to identify areas for redirected focus.

As background, the plan includes a history of planning and accomplishments of the Fellowship that includes details on the process used to develop this plan.

Our congregation has created vision and mission statements.  To implement our vision and mission, our congregation has identified a set of program goals.  In order to best use our volunteers, staff, space and budget, the congregation has chosen five goals to focus on.  Here we identify objectives, schedules, resources and responsibility for reaching our goals.

The plan also addresses management strategy for effectively utilizing current resources and augmenting resources in the future.
